How to register to vote in the US presidential election: terms and rules
November 8 US 2016 presidential elections will be held. The main contenders for the main post of the state are the Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton and the Republican candidate Donald Trump. In order to vote for the candidate you liked, you must be a registered voter.

How to register to vote
It is possible that you are already a registered voter. You can check it on the site. canivote.org or on the site Election Assistance Commissions. If you are not there or you have changed your address or name, then you need to register again.
To do this, complete the registration form and submit it in person or by mail to the Supervisory Board (BOE) of your city or state.

Can a registration expire?

Does criminal punishment affect the right to register and participate in elections?
You cannot register and vote if you have been convicted of a criminal offense and:
- you are in prison;
- you are released on parole and under supervision.
You can register and vote if you have been convicted of a criminal offense and:
- you received a conditional sentence;
- you were not detained, or your sentence was suspended;
- you have served a prison term, in which case you can re-register to participate in the elections;
- you were released on parole, and then your charge was canceled - in this case, you can re-register to participate in the elections;
- you were released under an amnesty.
