During a visit to the largest oceanarium at VDNKh (held the day before), Russian President Vladimir Putin received a question for which, apparently, he was not prepared. A child, who was examining the exhibition at Moskvarium together with the Russian leader, inquired about the state of affairs in Ukraine.

The boy approached the president and asked: “How is it in Ukraine?” Putin gave a laconic answer: “Nothing.” In the video posted on YouTube by user Lorne Malvo, the head of state’s phrase can be heard continuing. “I hope...” said Putin, the end of his sentence sounding unintelligible on the recording.

The boy’s question at the aquarium is reminiscent of the meme “What’s up with the crests?”, which became popular in April 2015. In this way, users ridiculed the tendency of the Russian media and Russians themselves to be more interested in events in a neighboring country than in their own.
