The child needed a wheelchair after visiting Disneyland
The trip to Disneyland California ended for the 8-year-old Ethan Ramirez with hospitalization after an animator wearing a Pluto dog hugged the child too much.
Doctors diagnosed the boy with strong muscle strain. The child also said that he felt choking due to a rough hug.
The boy's mother, Lori Ramirez, complained online that the amusement park staff did not show sympathy for the injured child and ignored her outrage. When she asked for a wheelchair to bring the victim to the exit from Disneyland, she was refused. According to Ramirez, she was only promised that "Pluto will be punished."
A woman filmed her son's communication with the cartoon character on the smartphone camera. On the record, which the woman subsequently posted on the Internet, you can see how a life-size dummy hugs the child tightly, and then he departs from Pluto with tears in his eyes, rubbing his stomach, clutched by an animator.
Official representatives of Disneyland said that the park staff could refuse to provide the mother and son with a wheelchair, questioning the veracity of the words of Ramirez. They also stressed that they are constantly in contact with the family of the injured boy and conduct an internal investigation of the incident.
