SpaceX rocket during takeoff threw earth and dust at the city 8 km from the launch site

Residents of the city of Port Isabel, Texas, received an unexpected surprise from the launch and explosion of a SpaceX spacecraft on April 20: they were hit by an ash stream that covered cars in a coastal city, five miles (8 km) from the launch site.

According to the Facebook post, the Port Isabel city government, as well as officials, were aware of reports of debris and said the thin layer of dust was associated with the launch of the SpaceX rocket.

"The Cameron County Office of Emergency Management has confirmed that the dust that fell this morning in Port Isabel was from sand and earth thrown into the air by the force of launch from an area near the SpaceX launch pad," the city's official Facebook page wrote.

On April 20, SpaceX tried to launch its Starship mega rocket into space.. She overcame the launch launch, but after about 2 minutes 49 seconds of flight, the massive rocket began to tumble in the air, falling back to Earth.

A few seconds later, the rocket exploded in a fireball.

On social networks, users shared photos of layers of dust covering cars, buildings and everything around.

A spokesman for the Derry School in Port Isabel complained that people's cars were covered in ash-like particles.

“After the rocket took off and it exploded, all the cars were covered in a pile of ash. Nothing got inside the school. It was just outside,” he said.

The explosion of the rocket shortly after launch also caused concern among the residents of Port Isabel.

“The doors were shaking a lot. It seemed that they would break, ”a representative of the Derry school said.
