Amazon slaves: warehouse workers can't even go to the toilet

In the Amazon warehouses, workers try not to leave the toilet during working hours because of fear of being fired. To save this time, the staff came up with a need to bottle their own. Thus, they do not leave the workplace and will not receive a possible reprimand due to downtime, which threatens to lose their job.

Workers shifts make up 10 hours per day, and during this time the employee travels every day up to 16 kilometers on foot.

In sorting warehouses Amazon installed tracking systems. They keep track of how much each order is preparing, and also provide warnings for those who do not comply with the indicators or take long breaks.

Warehouse workers are afraid of losing their jobs due to management sanctions, an employee of the complex said. “The indicators that need to be achieved have risen sharply. I don’t drink water at work because I don’t have time to go to the toilet, ”he said.
