Court clerk distributed drugs in breakfast boxes

US police have neutralized a heroin trafficking gang in Brooklyn. Arrested more than two dozen people, including a court worker. They masked the sale of drugs for the delivery of boxes of oatmeal and corn flakes.

The apartment, located in one of the houses on Driggs Avenue in the South Williamsburg area, became the lair of drug dealers, told in the Prosecutor's Office of Brooklyn on Thursday. On Wednesday morning, the police searched there. During the investigation, heroin was discovered, two million dollars and firearms seized, writes The New York Times.

According to the investigators, in a month the attackers sold thousands of heroin for 25. And drug dealers who had contact directly with customers, the drugs were delivered in packages of cereal for breakfast, reports Fox News. These "breakfasts" were supplied with "branded" labels with impressive names: "Knockout", "Time to Kill", "Gucci" and "Scorpio".

Each dose of heroin contained less than a gram of the drug, and the cost of such a “breakfast” did not exceed $10. But a drug addict could take several doses a day.

There were a total of 25 people in the Tavera gang, including JN Collazo, an 36-year-old Manhattan court worker. He held the position of supervisor and used his office phone at Themis monastery to conclude heroin sales deals.

Another suspect, 37-year-old drug dealer Michael Mineo, who distributed heroin on Staten Island, is a drug addiction counselor. He was just about to get a job at a government organization that assists alcoholics and drug addicts (New York State Office of the Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services).
