On August 28, a Russian military aircraft violated the airspace of one of the NATO countries. This happened during an attempt to intercept an American B-52 bomber near the Danish island of Bornholm. Writes about it "Voice of America".
NATO called the incident "a significant violation of international law."
"The Russian Su-27, which took off from Kaliningrad, followed the B-52, entering Danish airspace, committing a significant violation of the airspace of a NATO country," the Alliance's Joint Air Command said.

“Danish Rapid Reaction Force aircraft were flown to counter the breach, but Russian intruder fighters turned back before intercepting,” the statement said. "Unauthorized intrusion into sovereign airspace is a material violation of international law."
Russia said that the Su-27 fighter flew to intercept the US Air Force B-52 bomber and did not violate Danish airspace, as it flew over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.
