Russian President Vladimir Putin played the piano after meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Beijing. The head of state performed music from the songs “Moscow Windows” by Tikhon Khrennikov and “City over the Free Neva” by Vasily Solovyov-Sedoy, reports New York Times.

At the end of his 2-minute impromptu concert, Putin began to play “Where the Motherland Begins,” but slammed the lid of the piano with the words: “Enough.”

Both songs date back to the end of 1950, when the 64-year-old president was a child.

Despite the fact that the speech of the head of Russia looked improvised, the operator managed to record it, and the video quickly went to the media.

This is not the first time Vladimir Putin has demonstrated his musical talents. In October 2010, he played “Where the Motherland Begins” on the piano at a charity concert in St. Petersburg, and in January 2014 he played “Moscow Windows” for MEPhI students.

Putin arrived in China for the Belt and Road summit, where leaders of several dozen countries discussed a $1 trillion plan to develop infrastructure and economies in 60 countries in Europe and Asia.

During the event, Putin met with the leaders of China, the Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
