A resident of Tyumen (Russia), a disabled person of the second group, Andrei Romanov recorded a video message to US President Donald Trump asking "to protect the rights and freedoms of Russian disabled people, as set out in the UN declaration and convention on human rights."

A video message in English was recorded on the Central Square of Tyumen, opposite the regional government, the man was holding a poster reading “No social extremism”, writes TJ.
Romanov said that people with disabilities in Tyumen cannot move comfortably either in the regional center or in the region as a whole, and some "have not left the house for years."
"My name is Andrei Romanov, I live in Russia, in the city of Tyumen, I am 46 years old, a disabled person. I congratulate you and all citizens of the United States on the upcoming holiday - Independence Day. I appeal to you because my repeated appeals to Russian President Vladimir Putin did not bring results. I ask you, Mr. President Trump, to take all necessary measures to force officials of the Russian Federation, the city of Tyumen, to comply with international legal acts, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities,” Romanov says in a video message.

According to the man, hospitals, pharmacies and pedestrian crossings in Tyumen are not suitable for people with disabilities. He clarified that he appealed to the supervisory authorities, but these appeals do not give results.
Romanov repeatedly sued the administration of Tyumen and the regional government, demanding to create a comfortable environment for people with disabilities, but always lost.
Romanov also recorded the appeal for a straight line with Vladimir Putin. He, along with other residents of the area with disabilities, stated about the violation of the rights of persons with disabilities in the region. But after that, Romanov was called to the police for allegedly violating the rules of the rally. According to the disabled person, “everything ended well”.
