For example, if your storage is full, or even close to it, then it can have a huge impact on how fast your iPhone performs basic functions. But today we're going to polish one way to speed up your iPhone: clear the cache.

Want a fast iPhone? Clear the cache in mobile Safari

While we usually associate browser cache clearing with desktops and laptops, clearing the cache on mobile browsers can also help clean up your system. With this, you can rid your system of all kinds of pesky files and scripts that have accumulated over the years.

To clear the cache in mobile Safari, start by opening the Settings app. Then scroll down until you see the Safari bar. There you will see an option to "Clear history and website data".

As a word of caution, you should be fully aware of how this works before choosing it. Simply put, clearing your history and website data will delete your entire browsing history. What's more, it will also remove any saved passwords for websites you've saved.

If this warning is not causing problems, tap on the above option. A warning will appear. Accept the terms and your browser will be in perfect working order. More importantly, if your device was a little slow, you may well see better iPhone performance afterwards.

It is worth noting that it is possible to delete cookies but keep the history. You can do this by going to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data. Then just click "Delete all website data".

How to Clear Cache in Google Chrome

If you prefer Google Chrome to mobile Safari, clearing the cache in Google Chrome is just as easy as it is in mobile Safari.

First, take out your iPhone and launch Google Chrome. After that, you need to click on the three horizontal dots at the bottom of the display. After that, click "Settings" > "Privacy" > "Clear browsing data".

Note that Google gives you a little more detail here. You will see that you have the option to delete cookies, browser history or cached images and files. What's even more impressive is that you can delete the above data after certain periods of time. For example, instead of erasing your entire browser history, you can delete your browser history for the previous hour, the last 24 hours, the last seven days, the previous 30 days, and, of course, all time.

Google Chrome also has a quick delete option that will delete the last 15 minutes of your browser history. This can be accessed by clicking on your profile icon in the top right corner and then clicking "Delete last 15 minutes".
