Obama said that the last time he dined in such a company, next year someone else will be in his place.

“Next year someone else will be standing here, in this very place. One can only guess who she will be,” Obama joked, hinting at Hillary Clinton.

The US president also walked up to the fact that for a series of speeches at a large financial company Goldman Sachs, Clinton received 675 thousand dollars, saying that if his speeches worked well, he would send them for processing to be used again in Goldman Sachs.

Addressing Hillary’s rival for Democratic nomination Bernie Sanders, Obama said:

“Bernie, you look like a million bucks, or, to put it in terms you understand, 37 donations at $27 each,” Obama joked.

True, Sanders was not inclined to joke, he was gloomy. The journalists present explained that he was most likely hurt by Obama’s hint of a Hillary Clinton victory in the elections.

He joked Barack Obama and the billionaire Donald Trump, who is leading the race for the nomination of the Republican presidential candidate.

In a nod to Trump's past business ventures, Obama said his experience could be invaluable in closing Guantanamo Bay because "he knows a thing or two about leveling seafront property."

“The Republican establishment is skeptical that Trump is likely to be their nominee. They say he doesn't have enough foreign policy experience to be president. To be fair, he spent years meeting with leaders from all over the world: Miss Sweden, Miss Argentina, Miss Azerbaijan and others,” the American leader joked.

In his speech, Barack Obama often turned to the various nuances of the current presidential race, but he formulated his attitude with one phrase: sometimes you just need to relax and appreciate the irony.

Overall, Obama said, the presidency has aged him.

“Eight years ago I was a young man full of energy and idealism. “Now I’m a sad, graying man counting the days until my death sentence,” he said, referring to the much-criticized health care reform known as Obamacare.
