Missing boy found alive 8 years after disappearing
Rudy Farias went missing in 2015 while walking his dog. At that time he was 17 years old. 8 years later, on June 27, the guy was found, reports New York Post.
A 25-year-old missing man from Houston who was found alive after disappearing in 2015 still wears his dead brother's pendant.
He was found last week and is currently not speaking and recovering in the hospital.
A passerby spotted Rudy on June 27 - he had been beaten and covered in bruises. A passerby called 911, his mother Janie Santana said.
“My son Rudy is getting the help he needs to overcome his trauma, but at this time he is non-verbal—he cannot speak,” Santana said.

“We ask for privacy during this difficult time for us, but we will share the details. Rudy continues to recover,” she said, adding that the family does not have any further details about where Farias has been for eight years.
How it all happened
Farias was 17 years old when he mysteriously disappeared near his family's home. The alarm was raised as soon as his dogs returned home without the teenager. Faris' mother said he always wore a pendant that belonged to his brother, who died in a car accident in 2011.
When Farias was found unconscious, with cuts and bruises outside the church, he was still wearing the same pendant, Santana said.

Santana said that Farias, who hasn't spoken much since he was found, is still holding the pendant. She said that he only said a few words, he lies on the bed in the fetal position all the time.
At the time of his disappearance, Farias was suffering from depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety, Texas EquuSearch reported in 2015.
“Perhaps he is disoriented because he did not take medication,” the organization said at the time, starting the search for Farias.
The authorities initially did not believe that he was missing.
