'Will attract tens of millions of people': Trump creates his own social network

A Trump spokesman said that in 45 months, the US president will return to social media with his own platform. Writes about it CNN.

45 President Donald Trump is returning to social media — but this time with his own network, a Trump spokesman told Fox News on Sunday, March 21.

Jason Miller, a longtime adviser and spokesman for Trump's 2020 campaign, told Howard Kurz on Fox's MediaBuzz that Trump "will be back on social media in probably two to three months." He added that Trump will return with "his own platform" that will attract "tens of millions" of new users and "completely change the course of the game."

“This is going to be a major social media event,” Miller told Kurtz. “This will completely change the course of the game.” Everyone will be waiting and watching to see what President Trump does. But it will be his own platform.”

Miller said during his Fox News appearance that the former president has been approached by many companies and that he is in talks with teams about a new platform.

“This new platform is going to be big,” Miller said. “Everyone is waiting for him, he’s going to attract millions and millions – tens of millions – to this platform.”

The announcement came after Trump was permanently blocked on Twitter and other social platforms such as Facebook, following his instigation of the January 6 riot. Then hundreds of Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol building, as a result of which five people were killed.

Following Trump's Twitter ban, the 45 president's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner stepped in as other aides tried to draw Trump to peripheral social media platforms such as Parler and Gab. Kushner and then-deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino blocked attempts by these officials to use other accounts to post messages on Trump's behalf.
