The 48-year-old passenger was on a Princess Cruises ship returning to the Sunshine State after an eight-day Caribbean voyage when the tragedy occurred.
"The Princess Cruises crew is deeply saddened by the loss of a 48-year-old guest who attempted to jump overboard," the cruise line told Cruise Radio.
