Professor Trump predicts victory impeach him
Alan Lichtman, professor at the American University in Washington, who correctly predicted the results of the presidential election from 1984, said that the elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, is likely to leave his post as a result of impeachment.
According to the scientist, the newly elected president can be removed from office by the Congress, which, including its Republican majority, will elect elected Vice President Michael Pence as head of state, since he, unlike Donald Trump, fits into the image and values of the US Republican Party, reports The Washington Post.
At the same time, the professor noted that this assumption is not based on the system with which he made predictions earlier.
“I want to make one more prediction. It is not system based; this is just my guess. Congressmen don't want Trump as president because they can't control him. He's unpredictable. They would like to have Pence as president - a completely consistent, conservative, controlled Republican. And I'm pretty sure that Trump will provide grounds for impeachment, either by doing something that would jeopardize national security or by doing something that would benefit his wallet,” Lichtman said.
Previously, the scientist predicted Trump’s victory in the presidential election using his method based on the binary opposition “true - false.”
He is not the only one who spells impeachment of the newly elected president. In his column for New York Times David Brooks also suggested that Trump’s impeachment was planned by Republicans for 2017 a year.
