In order to control the order at the event, law enforcement officers from neighboring Seaside Park were invited to the city, but it was not possible to avoid fights and confusion.
There were frequent skirmishes and fights between the guests who arrived at the party.
The event, which gathered thousands of people, was called Beachnik, and was supposed to take place on the beach in Seaside Heights from 12: 00 to 17: 00 16 June. Entry to the party cost 8 dollars, guests were asked to bring beach balls. People were also asked to share information with the #BeachNikNJ18 hashtag, and it looks like they did an excellent job.
According to Jessica Richardson, a party attendee, the event turned into a “madhouse”: because of the numerous fights on the beach, the police asked people to leave the area, after which several skirmishes occurred on the embankment.
