The last discovery that Stephen Hawking made before his death
In the library of electronic preprints arXiv.org 4 in March 2018, an update of the latest work of the British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking has appeared.
The article, written jointly with the Belgian physicist Thomas Hertog, discusses a possible experimental test of the multiverse hypothesis. The first version of the publication appeared 24 July 2017 of the year, сообщает Lenta.ru report
“The intriguing idea in Hawking’s work is that the multiverse left its imprint in relict radiation penetrating our Universe, which we could measure with a detector mounted on a spacecraft,” said British-Mexican cosmologist Carlos Frank.
Hawking died 14 March 2018, at the age of 76 years. The scientist, who spent most of his life in a wheelchair and is widely known as a popularizer of science, in recent years has paid great attention to such problems of mankind as global warming, the state of the environment and social inequality.
Stephen Hawking will be buried in Westminster Abbey next to the graves of Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin.
