After the bombing of a suicide bomber near Paris, seven people were detained

In Saint-Denis, near the outskirts of Paris, on the morning of November 18 seven people were detained on suspicion of of involvement to the attacks in which 129 people died. During the special operation, a woman with a suicide bomber bombed, and the police entered into a shootout with the suspects. French law enforcement agencies were looking for in Saint-Denis Abdelhamid Abaud - presumably, it was he who organized the attacks. Whether it was possible to detain him is still unknown.

The police thoroughly prepared for the operation. Around 4: 20 in the morning local time, police and military cordoned off an entire area in Saint-Denis (formally, this is a suburb of Paris, but in fact it was Paris), although they were only interested in one apartment. Several people took refuge in it. They did not know how many were there, but it was assumed that Abdelhamid Aboud was there - the man who had organized the terrorist attacks in Paris. The operation was carried out very close to the Stade de France stadium, next to which on November 13 three bombers were blown up. Here you can see location of the apartment relative to the stadium.

Locals woke up to the sound of an explosion. This was blown up by a woman with a bomber belt, who was in the apartment. After that, a shootout began. As a result, a man from that apartment was killed - he died either from a grenade explosion (who left her unclear), or from a suicide bomb blast, or a sniper killed him. During the assault, five policemen were slightly injured; perished service dog named Diesel.

Police officers detained seven people: three of them were in the apartment, which was stormed; two more hid in construction debris; the man who provided the suspect with an apartment and his friend were detained not far from the apartment. The landlord claims to have provided a room for friendship: it was in poor condition, but the tenants assured that they only needed water and a place to pray.

The identities of the detainees are either not established or are not disclosed. Whether Abdelhamid Aboud was in the apartment is also unknown. Previously it was thought that he was in Syria on the territory controlled by the Islamic State. By information Le Monde, Aboud is not among those arrested.

On the trail of suspected terrorists, the police left thanks to the phone. He was found in the urn next to the Bataklan concert hall. It has a text message sent on the evening of 13 November, on the day of the attacks: “We are ready, we are starting.” It turned out that its owner had been in Alforville commune before the attacks, where the terrorists had rented a hotel room. How exactly this phone brought the cops in Saint-Denis is unknown.
