After unsuccessful euthanasia, doctors decided to kill the patient and suffocated her with a pillow
In Belgium, during euthanasia, doctors suffocated a terminally ill 36-year-old woman with a pillow, reports “Фокус".

The doctors wanted to hide this fact. A forensic expert confirmed the presence of strangulation marks on the woman's body.
Doctors simply suffocated the patient with a pillow after giving her an insufficient dose of the lethal drug.

The incident occurred in the city of Upey in eastern Belgium. A 36-year-old woman decided to commit euthanasia after learning that she had cancer. When the Belgian's health became critical, the woman decided to undergo the procedure. It took place in her own house, and the woman’s husband and daughter did not want to witness her death, so they left home.

The patient was accompanied by a doctor and two nurses. The procedure was unsuccessful, the woman did not receive an insufficient amount of lethal drugs and was still breathing, so the doctors decided to finish what they started by using a pillow.
The doctors wanted to hide this fact, but a relative of one of the nurses, having learned the details, reported to the prosecutor's office. The medical examiner then confirmed that there were signs of strangulation on the woman's body. The woman's family filed a civil lawsuit against the doctors.
