Popular children's Christmas gifts may be deadly: They are being recalled from Amazon and Shein.

As the holiday season gets underway, officials are urging Americans to be aware of potentially dangerous toys often given to children for Christmas. The most dangerous ones are highlighted by Daily Mail.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued several recalls this month. The recalled products included toys and tech devices sold at popular retailers such as Amazon and Shein.

Among the four recalls in December, there are approximately 37,000 items that pose a danger to children.

On the subject: Amazon is recalling 200 power banks because they catch fire while in use.

On December 4, the CPSC recalled the Crayola pip-Cubes toy from CreateOn due to a "risk of serious injury or death" posed by the toy's magnets.

The product is a set of magnetic building blocks, but there is a risk that the magnets will loosen if the seams come loose, and a child could swallow the pieces.

Swallowed magnets can become lodged in the digestive system and attract each other, which can lead to intestinal ruptures, blockages, and blood poisoning. Complications can be life-threatening.

The recall affects approximately 9400 units, specifically the Bold Colors sets, as well as the Glitter Cub sets - both 24 and 27 cubes.

These toys were sold in Michael's stores nationwide, online, and on Amazon from May to July 2025.

There have been no reports of injuries related to this recall.

The recall notice states: "Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled magnetic building blocks, keep them out of the reach of children, and contact CreateOn for a replacement."

On the same day, the Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled approximately 10,380 KTEBO brand Writing Tablet Toys that were sold on Amazon between September and October 2025.

The review included products sold in sets of two in four colors (pink and blue, green and yellow, orange and blue, purple and red) and two sizes (8,5 and 10 inches – 21,6-25,4 cm) complete with a corresponding stylus.

The tablet violates mandatory toy safety standards: the screw securing the button battery compartment is not securely fastened. This creates a risk of a child swallowing the battery.

Swallowed button or coin batteries cause severe chemical burns inside the body, which can lead to death.

The Commission recommends that you immediately stop using the toy and contact KTEBO for a free replacement.

No injuries were reported.

The third notice of the month also concerns the danger of swallowing a button battery.

The recall involves 40 Cubimana Treehouse Building Toy Sets, each containing 618 pieces.

These sets were sold on Shein.com from July to October 2025.

Although no injuries have been reported, the product is being recalled because it violates mandatory safety standards: the LED light and button cell battery element are too easily accessible to children.

The Commission advises consumers to immediately stop using the set, keep it out of the reach of children, remove the battery, and dispose of it properly. For a refund, please contact the manufacturer, Vatos Toys.

Additionally, HydroJug is recalling approximately 17,000 14-ounce (approximately 414 ml) children's sports water bottles because the rivets on the handle may loosen, causing the handle to come off and create a choking hazard for a child.

These bottles were sold at Academy Sports, Scheels, Combined Sales Company, Gordons Ace Hardware, Bucks Ace, Kents Grocery, Basin Sports, and online at Hydrojug.com, Amazon, Well.ca, and iHerb.com from May to June 2025.

Customers are advised to immediately discontinue use of the product and contact HydroJug for a free replacement lid.

The commission received 656 reports of loose rivets, but there were no injuries.
