Assistant Governor of New York Mortally Wounded in a Gunfight
Preparations for the annual Labor Day parade in New York are again marred by murder. Before the event, an unknown person opened fire, several people were injured, including the assistant governor.
Lawyer Cary Gabay, who works for Governor Andrew Cuomo, got into a shootout of two gangs in Brooklyn and was hit in the head.
In another district of Brooklyn, an 24-year-old young man died as a result of a knife strike.
43-year-old Gabey was injured around 03: 40 local time while walking down the street with his brother. He is now in critical condition.
"I'm the governor of New York and there's nothing I can do," Andrew Cuomo told reporters after visiting his staff in the hospital.
As reported by the police, no arrests have yet been carried out.
