Ukrainian prisoner N.Savchenko, a political prisoner, was examined by German doctors

Doctors from Germany examined the Ukrainian woman-pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, who was already on hunger strike for 65 days. German specialists also performed an ultrasound.

“After receiving written consent from Savchenko to review the medical documentation and conduct a medical examination, foreign medical specialists were provided with the results of clinical, laboratory and instrumental examinations of the accused, the dynamics of her health over the entire period of detention,” the statement says.

Upon completion of the examination, a medical consultation was held, at which foreign experts assessed her state of health as satisfactory, noted the professional approach and completeness of medical and diagnostic activities performed by Savchenko in the hospital of the medical and sanitary department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.

Medical indications for additional examination and treatment has not been established.
