On the morning of August 18, the Spanish police succeeded in eliminating four people who were planning to carry out a terrorist attack in the municipality of Cambrils in the province of Tarragona near Barcelona, where the extremists attacked the city center the day before using a van.
Unknown people on the van tried to break into the pedestrian zone. As a result of the attack, seven people were injured. However, the terrorists failed to complete the job: their car overturned, the police opened fire on it. The criminals were destroyed. When viewed from terrorists found the belt of suicide bombers.
We will remind, earlier there was a terrorist attack in Barcelona which killed at least 13 people. Militants in a minibus rammed a crowd of people on the Ramblas. Now more than 100 victims remain in hospitals. Responsibility for the attack claimed the group "Islamic State". Police managed to detain one of the alleged terrorists.
