The police mistakenly showed up at Keanu Reeves' house: the actor confirmed his reputation as a kind person

Police knocked on Keanu Reeves' front door after receiving a wake-up call about a missing woman, reports TMZ.

Police officers arrived at Keanu's home in the Los Angeles area after someone called the police worrying about the 27-year-old woman.

The cops who came to the call were shocked to find Keanu Reeves in an apparent mix-up when they were looking for a young woman at the actor's address.

Mistake or hoax

Police say the caller told them that he hadn't spoken to his girlfriend for a long time and that he was worried about her. The caller's story was plausible enough as he reportedly provided a date of birth and information about what car the woman was driving.

The caller asked the police to conduct a check to make sure the woman was all right, he gave the officers the alleged address of the woman's location. But when the cops got to the house and knocked on the door, they were surprised to see Keanu.

Police say they told Keanu how they ended up on his doorstep, but the John Wick star knew nothing about the woman. Reeves told the cops that she definitely didn't live with him. It is difficult to say who was more surprised in this situation.

It is not clear if the caller actually had the wrong address, or if he was seeking attention by pulling a prank. But the police noted Keanu was very sweet and easy-going with the officers, confirming his reputation as a polite person.

As for the 27-year-old woman, it remains unclear whether this person actually exists. The police did not provide any further information, such as whether they contacted the caller.

Better cops at the door than intruders inside

Reeves has had other problems in his home in the past, reports Movie Web. In 2014, he stumbled upon an unfamiliar woman in the library of his home. Just a few days after that, another woman was swimming naked in his pool when he was not at home. The police managed to detain both women and no one was hurt, although Reeves said shortly after that he had increased security at the house.

More recently, the actor had another problem, much more serious. In February, it was reported that a man claiming to be related to Reeves by blood broke into the actor's mansion with a DNA testing kit, seeking to prove his claims.
