In California, attackers stole more than 100 Christmas packages
Suspected thieves who stole 108 parcels on the doorsteps of California residents were arrested by the police as a result of a chase that ended in a car accident. Fox News.
According to authorities, on the morning of Christmas Monday, December 23, two suspected thefts of parcels were discovered in which there were 108 packages and envelopes in the car. They were detained after a car rolled over on the side of a highway during a police pursuit.
Butte County Sheriff's office answered the call at about 1:50 a.m.: It was reported that a man was picking up items from mailboxes in the Durham area, a rural area 80 miles north of Sacramento.
The police sergeant "saw a vehicle heading north that looked like a description of a car associated with mail theft."

When authorities began pursuing the vehicle, it "had already lost control and overturned on the north side of the roadway," the statement said.
The sheriff’s office found “108 packages and envelopes addressed to approximately 56 people at 37 different addresses,” as well as “methamphetamine and a wallet containing several gift / prepayment cards and hundreds of dollars in cash.”

The driver was identified as 41-year-old Jeremy Blumlain from Chico; his passenger was identified as 26-year-old Breanna Mayer from Magalia. Both were not hurt.
“Blumlein and Mayer were arrested on charges of identity theft, mail theft and parole violation; Blumlein was also charged with evading prosecution and possession of a controlled substance, the sheriff's office said.
