What: Screening of a film about Oleg Vidov in New York

More: Soviet and American actor Oleg Vidov was a legend in Soviet cinema, although he had a controversial reputation. Having gained immense popularity in the USSR, he chose life in America and never regretted it.

In New York on April 30, the premiere of the documentary Oleg, based on his autobiography, will take place. This is a story about the search for freedom. The film includes interviews with world famous actors, directors and Oleg's friends. Conversations with them were recorded in 8 countries of the world by his widow - the famous Hollywood producer Joan Borsten-Vidov. The film uses unique photo and video materials from the personal archive of Oleg Vidov, frames from iconic Soviet and foreign films with his participation. The music for the film was written by Tonino Guerra's son Andrea Guerra, and Brian Cox, Costa Ronin and Leonard Feinstein also worked on it.

The film has already become a participant in 17 international film festivals - in Australia, Russia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Israel, England, Serbia and the USA. The jury of the Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival (Rhode Island, USA), Prague Independent Film Festival (Prague, Czech Republic) and Crystal Palace International Film Festival in London awarded the film as the best documentary.

After the premiere, all guests will meet with the producer of the film and the widow of Oleg Vidov, Joan Borsten, as well as with the actor Kosta Ronin, who voiced Vidov in the documentary.

Looking at these atrocities, we cannot remain silent. We should unite and achieve the return of the abducted Ukrainians to their native land. The world must see how cruelly the Russian government treats the Ukrainian people by forcibly taking them out of their homeland.

Join the Stop Kidnapping Ukrainians march! (“Stop kidnapping Ukrainians!”) on Saturday, April 30! Participants in the procession organized Razom for Ukraine, will march from Times Square to the Russian consulate, at the walls of which a rally will then take place.

Do not be silent, because in such a situation, silence is criminal!
