A friend pushed an 16-year-old girl who refused to jump from the bridge. VIDEO
16-year-old Jordan Holgerson went with friends to the Multon Falls on the Lewis River in the state of Washington.
They climbed onto the bridge over the waterfall, intending to jump, but the girl admitted that she was too scared and did not jump, after which one of her friends pushed her down, and as a result of the fall, she received serious injuries, writes Daily Mail.
One of the participants in the incident filmed the incident on video.
“No, I won’t,” Jordan says in the video in response to her friends’ attempts to get her to jump.
She repeats her refusal a second time, but a group of teenagers are still trying to make her jump.
Then suddenly someone asks, “Are you ready?” — and the girl pushes Jordan off the bridge.
The girl fell into the water from a height of 18 meters, because of the unwillingness to jump, she strongly hit the water. The strong sound of the blow stunned her friends.
The girl at the hospital said that it was the first time she climbed the bridge.
“I think I blacked out in the air, but I came back to my senses when I hit the water,” she said.
According to her, one of her friends immediately rushed to her aid and pulled her out of the water.
She was sent to a medical center in Vancouver, Washington.
The girl's mother, Gennel Holgerson, said that Jordan suffered fractures of five ribs and injuries of internal organs after a fall. The girl has a bruise of the esophagus, tracheal injuries and a punctured lung.
"She's lucky she's alive and not paralyzed," Holgerson said.
According to the forecasts of doctors, Jordan will recover and will not experience any consequences of what happened, but it is not yet clear how long she will have to stay in the hospital.
According to the girl, a friend apologized for pushing her off the bridge, but the victim admitted that in this case, the apology is not enough, because she could die.
Holgerson said that the girl who pushed Jordan into the water is older than her daughter.
“I'm very upset with her. She’s already an adult and should have known what she was doing,” said the victim’s mother.
Ashley Mahri, who published a shocking video on YouTube, said that in her opinion, the girl who had pushed Jordan should go to jail.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident.
