Abduction of a child in Brooklyn: grandfather accidentally picked up a foreign child from school
Last week, a kidnapping took place at a Brooklyn school, but later the police stated that there was no evidence of a crime. An elderly man confused the girl with his grandson and accidentally took another child from school.
At first, the police stated that an unknown person had entered PS 189, at 1100 East New York Ave. in Brownsville, Brooklyn and by the hand brought 6-year-old girl out of school, writes CBS News.
The girl’s older brother, who was 10 years old, followed them until they reached home on Rochester Avenue. At the moment when the man let go of the girl’s hand, the elder brother took his sister and brought him to the house of a relative who lives nearby, the police said.
However, it later turned out that the man in his 90 years confused and took the wrong child. According to police, the man has a grandson who goes to the same school.
Police said the case was closed and there was no crime.
