Graffiti by the famous British artist Banksy was cut off the facade of a building bombed by Russia in the city of Gostomel, Kyiv region, reports Meduza.
This was reported by an eyewitness to the incident Sergei Zhuk.
We are talking about graffiti, which depicts a woman in a dressing gown and a gas mask, with a fire extinguisher in her hands.
“Just before our eyes, vandals cut off the famous work of Banksy,” Zhuk wrote on Facebook. In the comments, he added that the criminals were immediately detained. How many detainees are unknown.
Perhaps the image was applied to the insulation, and it was stolen by cutting the foam.
According to the police of the Kyiv region, the detainees explained that they wanted to sell the drawing and transfer the money to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 194 “Deliberate destruction or damage to property”.
