Why you want to go to the toilet from the cold and is it worth worrying about?
Imagine yourself outside in a cold winter. The toes are chilly, and the face is exposed to cold air. You hear footsteps muffled by the snow, you smell the winter air. But bad luck - you immediately wanted to go to the toilet as soon as you went outside. It would seem a trifle, but it creates discomfort, and this happens all the time. Why do we want to use the toilet from the cold, the publication said Lifehacker.
This is not some law of meanness that you immediately want to go to the toilet as soon as you find yourself outside in the cold. It is he who makes our body fill the bladder faster. This reaction of the body is known as cold diuresis.
What is cold diuresis
One of the ways our body copes with cold is by constricting the blood vessels around the skin, so that blood circulates more around the organs and is less exposed to cold temperatures near the surface of the skin. This is due to why the fingers and toes begin to go numb.
But if there is less blood in the outer parts of the body, it means that more blood is circulating around the organs. Internal blood pressure is slightly higher than usual.

That is, the kidneys now filter the blood a little faster than usual. The result of this filtration is, you guessed it, urine. Thus, the bladder fills up faster.
What to do with cold diuresis
Fortunately, cold diuresis causes more irritation than problems. You may want to go to the bathroom before going out into the cold rather than a few minutes after you leave the house.
Heat can help. Remember that this is our body's reaction to the cold, so if you dress warmly enough, you will avoid this problem.

Don't forget about dehydration. If you constantly become cold, and then have to urinate more often and more than usual, you can put your body at risk of dehydration. Therefore, if you feel very thirsty when you return home after a long day outdoors, be sure to drink plenty of water.
