The accents, which are vast in the States, are just as difficult to understand. But the biggest challenge can be communication on the phone, but in the States this can not be avoided, and many issues here are solved in the telephone mode.

If you have to learn the language already in the USA, then again you need to sit at the desk and learn how you learn at school: do homework, make mistakes and go through a sad feeling when your language is not understood. For older people it is often very difficult.

Constant stress and fatigue

New place, new language, job search, paperwork - expats experience stress every day, 24 hours a day. And if everyday moments can be closed quickly enough, then stress at work or school will haunt you constantly. We add here fatigue (mental and physical) and lack of sleep, as well as the inability to relax and show weakness. Every day you need to fight with yourself, who wants to stay in bed and just sleep, instead of going to solve the tasks and problems that the new day has in store. All this, coupled with the lack of friendly support, sometimes turns out to be an unbearable burden for our people in America.

Lack of friendly support

Let's just say, this is not the factor that our states leave. But in a complex, when the lack of support of friends is added to all daily difficulties, this is still a test. And the thing is that we have friends - it is much more than just the one with whom you communicate daily. Our friend is a personal psychologist, counselor and soul mate in one person. He worries about your failures, rejoices in victories. This is the one who listens. Sometimes, the ability to simply speak out can significantly lower the degree of tension and give strength to move on. In the states, even close friends keep their distance. It is not customary to pour out the soul of a friend and share intimate problems.

Inability to hug relatives

Maybe not for everyone, but for many this item is among the first three reasons why people return back. It often turns out that the only communication with relatives that you can afford is a video call. But you want to touch and hug. Sometimes, even being in the same country, we may not see our parents or sisters/brothers for a long time. However, the realization that they are a couple of hours away from you and that you can “drive to them” on the weekends does not put pressure on you as much as it does in the USA.

Unfulfilled expectations

Often, even adults paint rainbow pictures in their dreams, and when they arrive in the States, they are disappointed when they realize that Hollywood lied to them. They encounter a completely different culture, mentality, people and order than they expected to see. And having flown over the ocean, they suddenly realize that they are not ready to live in this country.

Situations are different, and it happens that getting a cherished green card is impossible. Money for lawyers is running out, it is impossible to work officially, and a person is faced with a choice: to return home or remain an illegal here. So that you understand, you can live an illegal life all your life, but it will be survival, not life: informal work, fear of deportation, lack of insurance, inability to go to court if your rights are violated, you cannot leave the country (or rather, come back after leaving again) . In general, such a life is not for everyone.
