'Grab a bite to eat elsewhere': Florida cafe refuses to serve Biden supporters

The Florida diner said supporters of US President Joe Biden became persona non grata at her establishment following a suicide bomber that killed 13 US troops in Afghanistan. The edition told in more detail New York Post.

A sign on the DeBary Diner window directly encourages potential customers to turn around and go elsewhere if they support Biden and his administration after the attacks at Kabul airport.

“If you voted yes and continue to support and advocate for the worthless, inept and corrupt administration currently in the White House that is complicit in the deaths of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan, please eat somewhere else,” the sign reads.

Angie Ugarte, who has owned DeBary Diner for five years, said she posted the ad after a suicide bombing that also killed about 200 Afghans.

“It was the only thing I could do,” Ugarte said. - I'm angry, I'm disappointed. I could be in the shoes of mothers and sisters who received difficult news.”

Ugarte said many of her regulars at the eatery, which boasts the "tastiest" Cuban sandwiches in town, are military vets. Inside, an entire wall is dedicated to military personnel with war photographs, flags and other symbols.

“They get coffee here every morning,” Ugarte said of local veterinarians.

However, the response from buyers was mixed.

“People come to the door, look at the sign, turn around and leave,” the owner of the establishment said. “Sometimes people would come straight into my kitchen and tell me they liked my sign.”

Regardless of the reaction she elicits, Ugarte said the sign is not going anywhere.

"If you really, really still stand for those who allowed this to happen, then I really don't want anything to do with you," she said.

At least one Florida resident said he was put off by the sign and won't be going to the establishment anytime soon.
