'Passengers may suffocate': another Boeing aircraft discovered a dangerous malfunction
Former employee Boeing spoke about the problem with the oxygen supply system in the 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Writes about it Lenta.Ru.
57-year-old quality control manager John Barnett, who worked for Boeing 32 of the year, said that the company had neglected safety and accelerated the assembly process in order to release the liner as soon as possible. In the 2016 year, he discovered that the emergency oxygen system of the aircraft was faulty and if a sudden decompression began during the flight, then all passengers would be left without oxygen.
According to Barnett, during tests simulating the opening of oxygen cylinders in the event of a pressure drop in the aircraft, he checked about 300 copies, 75 of which did not open properly.

When a specialist wanted to understand the problem, Boeing managers stopped his attempts. The company now denies the allegations. Representatives of Boeing admitted that in the 2017 year they received several oxygen cylinders that did not open properly, but they stated that these cylinders were discontinued.
Earlier in April, John Barnett also accused the company of using defective parts in the assembly of 787 Dreamliner airliners, as reported by the New York Times. Then the manager claimed that the Charleston factory, where the plane was assembled, had poor quality control and this threatened flight safety.
