The passenger managed to remove the risky synchronous landing of aircraft
Synchronized flight of aircraft is often observed during various parades or at aviation exhibitions. However, such moments also happen in everyday life.
A passenger on a flight from New York to San Francisco managed to film an unusual synchronized flight of two large airliners during landing.
When the plane was landing next to the clouds, the silhouette of an American Airlines Boeing-737 appeared, which also appeared on the glide path and at the same speed as the observer's plane, but landed on the runway nearby.
The quick-witted passenger didn’t take a long time, picked up his video camera and began to shoot this rare moment. Even their chassis touched the concrete runway almost simultaneously.
“You shouldn’t be afraid of such synchronized landings. This is a normal landing practice, and absolutely safe, which is used in almost all airports in the world. Despite the apparent proximity, the planes were 750 meters apart,” explains Richard Toomer, head of the British Pilots Association.
