Florida couple sentenced to 8 and 12 years in prison for immigration fraud
The court sentenced the couple, Rose and Domenico Singrai, to 12 years and 7 months, and also for 8 years and 1 for imprisonment in federal prison for collusion, indication of false information in immigration statements and petitions, mail fraud.
The court also confiscated the house that was used to commit the crimes and ordered the couple to pay a fine in the amount of $ 740 880, reports the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
According to the investigation, Rosa and Domenico Singhari owned and operated a company for the provision of accounting services and transfers REPC Accounting and Translations from home on West Park Street in Lakeland, Florida.
They were committed to forging immigration documents for illegal immigrants (asylum applications and employment documents), which helped illegal immigrants to obtain the driving license of the state of Florida. In order to have the necessary documents, the fraudsters submitted false information to USCIS, and received in response a form I-797C (notice of action), sold it to their customers at prices ranging from $ 500 to $ 1300. Thus, they earned at least $ 740 880.
