Parking places in exchange for sex: a scandal in the US Department of Justice
The deputy head of US marshals distributed VIP parking places in front of the building where his office is located, in exchange for sex.
The Department of Justice decided to lead the investigation of this case not to give the name of the person under investigation, saying only that the reason for the investigation was a report on the activities of the official, writes Daily Mail.
According to the document, the defendant “had sex with numerous women on the territory of government institutions.”
The investigation also found that the deputy head of the US marshal service allowed several non-governmental employees with whom he met to park their personal vehicles inside and in front of state property, which they were not legally entitled to.
It was also found that the defendant official carried his dog in a company car, which is in direct violation of the rules of the rules applicable to the service of US marshals.
The investigation also stated that the marshal had attempted to prevent the investigation by making false statements and unauthorized disclosure of non-public information.
In particular, the defendant contacted some of the women with whom he had relations, and asked them not to report anything to the representatives of the Department of Justice.
Despite all these crimes, the marshal is not at risk of criminal liability.
