In February 2022, the technology company announced ChromeOS Flex, a free-to-download operating system that simplifies the user's computer experience. The company has now released the final version after testing and making improvements based on user feedback.
What is Chrome OS Flex
The system is cloud-based, making it quick and easy to install on older computers via USB, and background updates prevent slowdowns, as explained in a company statement.

It provides protection against threats such as "malware" and "ransomware" as well as "employee errors" and consumes 19% less power than other devices.
Google emphasized the operating system's role in reducing e-waste by allowing outdated Windows and Mac computers to have a second life.
To date, the company has certified 295 devices compatible with ChromeOS Flex from brands such as Apple, Acer, Dell, Microsoft, Minisforum, Zotac or Advantech and many more. However, the absence of this certification does not prevent you from installing an operating system on your computer.
How to Install
Companies have a separate download page. It must indicate the company data, the number of employees and phone numbers.
