Candid photos in exchange for money: Ukraine has created an unusual platform to help the military

A group of Ukrainian volunteers came up with an unusual way to earn money to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fight in the war against Russia. Writes about it Ukrainian Truth.

The Ukrainians took the idea of ​​the Onlyfans platform as a basis to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A group of volunteers takes and sends candid shots (huffs/nudes) in exchange for donations to the army. Photos are usually erotic in nature or reflect parts of the body, but are not pornography.

The founders and participants of this movement told what inspired the creation Theronlifans. They are united by their love for aesthetic photos and the understanding that this is one of the opportunities to help the military and bring victory closer.

How Nastya from Belarus and Nastya from Kyiv founded Theronlifans

The two Nastyas founded the Teronlifans movement in the first days of March. They are old friends, although one lived in Belarus and the other in Kyiv.

When the war began, the Belarusian woman was resting in Croatia, and the Ukrainian woman was sitting in Kyiv under shelling. A friend threw all her strength into finding transport: she called carriers, turned to friends and attracted her Twitter audience.

“I have a fairly large following on Twitter. So I wrote a post and jokingly added that I would reset the nudes to whoever finds a transport for my friend. They found him in 5 minutes. I, as a man of my word, threw off my photo, - the girl writes. - But the next morning in private messages there were many requests from subscribers. They wrote that they were ready to dump money on me in exchange for personal photos. I didn’t need financial assistance, so I asked to donate money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

Girlfriends began to joke among themselves that it was like a combination of terrorist defense and Onlyfans. So they connected in Teronlifans. In the first few days, when Nastya sent out their photos for donations for the army, they collected about 200 hryvnias ($6).

“We did not just discuss, but encouraged each other to implement Teronlifans. We agreed that it was worth a try. If it turns out useful, we will be happy, ”explained Nastya.

“On March 8, I drew the logo, Nastya made the text. And so they started, ”the other Nastya continued the words of her friend.

The girl said that the first of her friends to like the message about Teronlifans was a Russian-speaking acquaintance from the United States. This message was seen by his English-speaking subscribers, and the audience of the shows began to expand, and the first volunteers joined.

Work or play

Nastya from Belarus has a main occupation - she works in the field of PR and SMM in the video game industry. Her account before the war and the implementation of the idea was a professional tool.

“My company’s HR wrote to me in the early days. They assembled a whole commission to check all the photos within Teronlifans for pornography. Colleagues did this to protect me and the company from problems with the cyber police. But after analyzing all the pictures, they told me: “Little girl, they publish pictures more openly in magazines,” she said.

But for another Nastya, Theronlifans became the main activity, because she lost her job before the war. During the day, the girl is engaged in organizational matters, checks check numbers and sends pictures to donors.

“We have to filter photos and members, because there are already doubles and fake accounts. We also have black lists of donors who behave badly,” Nastya noted.

She emphasized that all the pictures are aesthetic, not candid.

“Yes, there are girls who take photos in underwear, but there are also those who take pictures, for example, of the collarbone or shoulder. The guys also like to take pictures of the collarbones, and also the veins in the arms, the courageous chin. Their motivation is the same as that of girls – to help,” the Ukrainian woman emphasized.

The team of volunteers who provide their photos now includes 20 girls and 7 guys. Temporarily new members are not accepted.

Andrey, Valeria, Konstantin and Arina

Guys were more willing to talk to journalists.

For example, Andrei is a young and unemployed guy. He saw information about this movement in one of the publics. He didn't even have a Twitter account back then. Andrey signed up, threw money himself, and then decided to join Teronlifans.

“I was proactive even before the war. When it started, I was looking for where I could be effective. Starting from collecting the necessary things and weaving nets to finding materials for the Bandera Smoothie,” he said. “When I came across the girls with Teronlifans, I thought I wanted to try too. I had good photos that I took for the girl, but, it turns out, to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because this is the only format of financial assistance that I can now provide to our army, ”he said.

The first check brought 1000 hryvnia. Andrey notes that this donut was from a guy.

“There is nothing like that here: guys also like aesthetic beautiful photos just like girls like women's ones,” the young man says.

Valeria did not lead Twitter until the start of a full-scale war.

“But somehow it so happened that I decided to post a few new photos, among which were frank ones, added a few hashtags, and people began to actively subscribe to me,” the girl recalls. “Thanks to the hashtags, I saw that the girls founded the Theronlifans movement. I read about it, looked at the statistics and realized that this is really a brilliant idea.

She is a student, without a job or financial savings, so this way of helping in fundraising is very pleasant.

“At first I was very worried, but in a day I collected more than 10 thousand hryvnias ($340). For the second - more than 50 thousand hryvnia ($1). After that, any shame was gone, ”Valeria shares.

For a week, the girl collected donations in the amount of more than 200 thousand hryvnias ($6).

“It's nice that my boyfriend supported me, as well as my mother, friends. I'm really glad I decided to join this movement,” she remarks.

Valeria spent 8 hours on Twitter the first day. Therefore, he believes that this is a full-fledged job, because you need to constantly respond to messages and keep count of funds.

Now, according to her, the audience has narrowed: before, up to 20 requests were received in an hour, now there are only 5. In addition, the donor base has formed - there are people who send money daily, and sometimes several times a day.

Konstantin was and is an active Twitter user. He met Nastya, the founder, 3 years ago. So even at the beginning of the formation of the movement, he firmly decided to help.

“In addition to the fact that I support the state and the army, I work for the benefit of the economy, I really want to do more. I saw that the girls created a movement that resonates with my aspirations, is an accessible and acceptable format for me, ”the guy notes.

One of the main motives for Kostya's participation is to expand the audience and involve more people in the contemplation of the aesthetics of the male body.

“The use of the phrases “male” and “nude content” in the same sentence is mostly stigmatized. It is often identified with the absence of any aesthetic component, he says. – On the Internet, a common practice among men is to send dikpiks (a photograph of a male sexual organ). So there is very little room for creativity or aesthetics. For me, “nude” as a concept is about the aesthetics of the body, lines, shapes.”

His first donation came from a girl.

“She was completely satisfied with the result of her investment in the army and did not even suspect that male nudes could be so “wow”. I was pleased to receive such an assessment, ”the guy shares his success.

According to him, he is quite picky about his photos.

“I can’t say that they are phenomenal. But if it helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine, then why not?” Kostya says.

Arina was an active Twitter user even before the war, and a few weeks later she met Nastya from Belarus.

“I saw that she was organizing a movement, but I personally joined it after a few days. First of all, because it motivates the guys,” Arina began the conversation.

The girl complains that it was morally difficult for her, because she did not have the opportunity to somehow help the military.

“For health reasons, I cannot be a donor, I do not have enough physical fitness to join the terrorist defense,” she explains.

Despite a certain emancipation in front of the camera, it can be difficult for a girl to get to know the guys and communicate.

“I love challenging myself and working through my fears. So these two motivations brought me to the ranks of Theronlifans volunteers,” adds Arina.

The first donation was for 8,8 thousand hryvnias ($300), then for 9 and 11 thousand ($306 and $375). After that, Arina realized that she could effectively help in this way.

However, there were also unpleasant moments. For example, when the movement was reported in several Russian publics. They began to write a lot of nasty things to girls and boys, scammers became more active, they dumped fake receipts.

But there were also funny moments.

A lot of cool people united around the movement. Someone has created several bots, regular donors have appeared who help financially every day.

For 1 fresh (no more than a day) donation screen, you can get 1 nude from one girl or guy.

The scheme is as follows: you need to send a donation to the Ukrainian army. Any donation is suitable for this - from the special account of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the National Bank to large funds.

After transferring the money, you need to take a screenshot of the transaction and send it to one of the volunteers who are on the Teronlifans Twitter list.

“At first, we manually entered check numbers to verify the authenticity of payments. Recently, volunteers made us a bot in Telegram, which allows us to check the authenticity of these receipts much faster,” says organizer Nastya.

After a while you get a photo.

The smallest donation was for 50 hryvnias ($1,7), the largest - for $24,5 thousand. The average donation is about $100. Now participants do not accept donations less than 300 hryvnia ($10).

Money is dumped mainly by Ukrainians abroad. But foreigners also support the Armed Forces of Ukraine through Teronlifans. For example, the French, Germans, as well as people from the Netherlands, Estonia and other countries.

“There were even Russians, God forgive me! But we told them, they say, thanks for the donations, and now for the Russian ship. Glory to Ukraine!" - Nastya says through laughter.

The girls-organizers note that there are periods of calm. For example, an unproductive day is about 50 hryvnia ($1). And the maximum fee was 700 million hryvnia ($1,2). For a month they collected about 40 million hryvnias ($815 thousand).
