Mackenzie Bezos promised to give half of his fortune to charity, just a few months after the divorce proceedings with the richest man in the world were completed.

The newly minted billionaire woman signed the Giving Pledge (a promise to donate), which prompts the richest people in the world to donate most of their wealth to charity.
The initiative was launched by Warren Buffett, Bill and Melinda Gates in 2010 year. They were supported by 204 people and families.
Mackenzie Bezos became one of the richest people in the world after her divorce with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos earlier this year. Now she takes 22-e place in the ranking of billionaires Bloomberg.
Mackenzie's personal fortune is now estimated at $ 36,6 billion. Her ex-husband is leading the world, with $ 114 billion in net profit.
“I have a disproportionate amount of money, and it needs to be shared,” Bezos’ ex-wife said.

Mackenzie Bezos was one of 19 new Giving Pledge members announced on Tuesday, 29 May.
The group also included Brian Acton, co-founder of WhatsApp, Paul Sciarra, co-founder of Pinterest, and Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, a cryptocurrency exchange.
Bezos and Mackenzie announced in their divorce on the billionaire's Twitter microblog page, stressing that they intend to maintain friendly relations after the break. Jeff and McKenzie has four children - three sons and a daughter.
Later it became known that the founder of Amazon occurs with news presenter Loren Sanchez, who has two children with Whitesell, as well as a son from her previous relationship.
