A full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for almost a year and a half. At the same time, Russian “successes” on the battlefield are extremely far from what can even be called a victory with a stretch. Obviously, realizing this, Russian officials, propagandists and ideologists offer more and more exotic ways to achieve the coveted victory. Here are just a few of them.

1. Preemptive nuclear strike

Putin's Russia has been threatening to turn the West into "radioactive ashes" since at least 2014, and the former president Dmitry Medvedev threatens the rest of the world with nuclear war almost on a daily basis, interspersing his threats with swear words of varying degrees of censorship.
