Roosevelt Island, a noticeably narrow island located right in the center of the East River, has a length of 2 miles (3,2 km).

Along with its tribute to Franklin D. Roosevelt, the island is historically significant - showcasing amazing pieces of its past, such as an old smallpox hospital and what remains of a former asylum.

With the arrival of spring, you will see that people from all over the world come to Roosevelt Island for a completely different reason.
