The founder of Amazon has become the richest man in modern history.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos on the morning of July 16 became the richest person in modern history - the net value of his financial fortune crossed the mark of a record 150 billion US dollars.

This amount is approximately 55 billion more than the fortune of Bill Gates, one of the founders of Microsoft Corporation, who now ranks second in the ranking of the richest people in the world, reports Bloomberg. 54-year-old Bezos outperformed Gates in an inflation-adjusted environment.
The 100 mark of the billions of dollars that Gates moved to the 1999 year would now be at the level of 149 billions. This makes Amazon’s general manager richer than anyone else on earth, at least since 1982, when Forbes first published the ranking of the wealthiest people on the planet.
Bezos crossed the milestone today with the company's stock trading at $1 at 825,73:11 a.m. in New York, boosting his 10 gains to 2018 percent and turning the executive's wealth into $56 billion. Jeff Bezos's net worth has risen by $150,8 billion this year, more than the entire fortune of Mukesh Ambani, who was recently named Asia's richest man. It also brought Bezos personally closer to the world's richest dynasty - the Walton family, who own $52 billion.

Following Bezos in the Bloomberg index is Bill Gates with a fortune of 95,5 billion dollars, followed by Warren Buffett with 83 billions of dollars. Gates could have boasted a fortune of more than 150 billion if he had kept the assets that he gave to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Since 1996, he has donated almost 700 of millions of Microsoft shares and 2,9 billion dollars in cash and other assets.
