Open House returns to New York: the opportunity to get into the best buildings of the city
Open House returns to New York on the anniversary 15 times. Those interested will be able to look into the most secret and closed spaces of the Big Apple.
The festival will take place on October 14-15 and allow visitors to see the amazing architecture of the city, which is not available on other days. This time 200 hiding spaces will be opened in all five districts of the metropolis.
The festival will feature favorites from previous years, such as the Woodloon Cemetery in the Bronx, the Brooklyn Military Terminal and the Little Red Lighthouse in Washington Heights.
In addition, new places will appear in 2017, each of which should be interesting for local designers and ordinary Americans.
Open House offers a backstage tour of the newest brewery of the city, a brewing company Five boroughs in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The centuries-old Church of the Intercession will open its doors for architecture lovers during the festival.
Company Virgin Lady of Mount Carmel from Rosebank, One of the coolest places in Staten Island will be the focus of the weekend.
New Gallery Lissonlocated directly under Highlinewill also open the doors to connoisseurs.
