Dangerous exercises: the man cracked his neck and came down with a stroke
In Oklahoma, 28-year-old father Josh Khader uncomfortably stretched his neck, crunched it, and got a stroke. He is now recovering from injury, writes Fox News.
He said that he heard his neck crunch, and then he felt that the entire left side of his body was numb.
“I stood up and tried to get the ice pack out of the refrigerator, but I remember I couldn’t walk straight,” he recalls.
He was urgently taken to the hospital. The survey showed that at the time of the crunch, he tore a vertebral artery in the neck, which caused a stroke. Doctors say he miraculously avoided more serious consequences.
Khader now wears a blindfold to cure his eyesight, as he began to split in his eyes. He also has trouble walking. He underwent a course of physiotherapy.
“There's really no safe way to crack your neck. It's best to avoid this to prevent more serious complications, says LiveSience Dr. Robert Glatter.
