An online bar has opened where you can drink during quarantine

Petersburg agency shishki.collective launched Stay the Fuck Home Bar - an online bar where you can drink during quarantine and self-isolation, reports The village.

The creators of the service urge people to stay home so as not to become infected with the coronavirus (and not infect others with it). Their project is part of the #StayTheFuckHome global initiative.

How the online bar works

Stay the Fuck Home Bar consists of several “rooms” for 12 people. Video conferencing creators will be able to invite other users using special invitation links. The site was launched in English, it runs on the Whereby platform.

What's next

The creators expect that in the near future St. Petersburg bars will join the project, which will open virtual representative offices in the online bar. An agreement with Brimborium already exists, negotiations with Bear are ongoing. Over time, institutions from other cities and countries can connect to the service.

Agency creative director Mikhail Shishkin explained that the idea of ​​an online bar came to his mind because of quarantine: the company’s office was closed, employees were transferred to remote work.

“Everything is arranged simply: you pour a glass of beer, go online, some guys are sitting there - some from Los Angeles, others from Tallinn, Kharkov, from Moscow. A guy from Spain, for example, shows that there is wonderful sunny weather outside, but nobody is on the streets. So this is a lively communication where everyone gets to know each other, discussing different topics, ”said Shishkin.
