Huge Mega Millions jackpot hit: Florida lucky winner wins $1,6 billion
On August 8, the largest Mega Millions jackpot in history of $1,58 billion found its owner. The winning numbers were 13, 19, 20, 32, 33 and the golden Mega ball 14, reports New York Post.

The winner of the winning ticket can choose between a huge $1,58 billion jackpot paid out in annual installments or a $783,3 million cash lump sum.
This is the largest jackpot in Mega Millions history, slightly surpassing the previous high of $1,537 billion that was played in South Carolina in 2018.
The billion dollar ticket was sold at a Publix supermarket in Neptune Beach, Florida.

The drawing of this jackpot was the third largest prize in the history of the lottery.
Last November, California's Edwin Castro won a $2,04 billion Powerball, the largest ever payout for a lottery player.
In January 2016, three ticket holders from California, Florida and Tennessee shared a prize of $1,586 million.
Tickets from California, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia won $1 million for matching all five white balls.
The last time Mega Millions hit the jackpot was on April 18, when a $20 million winning ticket was sold in Syracuse, New York.

Mega Millions players have a 1 in 302 chance of winning the jackpot on any given draw.
The ticket holder is the latest member of the Billion Dollar Lottery Jackpot Club. In July, a $1,08 billion Powerball ticket was sold in Los Angeles.
The Powerball ticket was sold at Las Palmitas Mini Market, a small, family-run store in a trendy area in downtown Los Angeles.
Although no official winner has been named, the daughter of the shop owner Herrera Set believes that the man is "100% Hispanic".
Las Palmitas Mini Market received a $1 million check for the sale of the winning ticket.
