CNN office in New York evacuated due to the threat of mining

Police completely evacuated the CNN news agency office in New York after receiving a call to mine the building.

According to law enforcement officers, a man with a southern accent called CNN around 22: 00 6 in December and said that five bombs had been laid in different places inside the Time Warner building, where the company’s office would be located. New York police asked the city to avoid visiting the area, writes NBC.

Channel security officers evacuated the building as a precaution and called the police. A preliminary search of the premises by internal security officers did not detect any suspicious items, but the police also searched the building as an extra precaution.

As a result, the police found no signs of any explosive device. Around midnight, the evacuation order was canceled.

The threat of mining arose less than an hour after US President Donald Trump once again wrote on his Twitter microblog about the threat of “fake news,” with which he often links CNN.

“Fake news is the enemy of the people,” Trump tweeted around 22 p.m. on December 00.
