Asian actress Argento, one of the first prominent women who accused film magnate Harvey Weinstein of sexual abuse, agreed to pay $ 380 000 to a young actor who accused her of sexual harassment when he was 17 years.

Jimmy Bennett demanded compensation from Asia for Argento a month after the release of material about harassment from Weinstein. Lawyers for the young actor estimated the damage in the amount of $ 3,5 million. The Times reported that the parties reached a final agreement in April of this year. What happened?

According to the statement, the actor claimed that the attack occurred in a hotel room in 2013, when he was 17 years old, in California, where the age of consent occurs in 18.

Neither the representatives of Argento, nor the lawyer of the actor did not respond to the request Fox News for comments.

The New York Times newspaper received documents with a schedule of payments exchanged between Argento’s lawyers and the prosecutor. The document also had a photo dated 9 of May 2013 of the year, in which the two lay in bed together.

On that day, Argento met the actor at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Marina del Rey, California. After she offered him alcohol, Argento kissed him and had sexual intercourse, the report says.

In 2004, Bennett starred in Argento's film Chicks, where she played the role of the mother of Bennett's character.

Argento, who is now 42 of the year, played a prominent role in the fall of Weinstein, the former head of Miramax. Last October, The New Yorker published allegations by Argento that Weinstein forcibly spoke with her in a close relationship with 1997.

“I didn’t mean to,” she told journalist Ronan Farrow at the time. - I said: “No, no, no.”

Argento added that over the years she sometimes had sexual contact with Weinstein, because she felt that she "should have been" and "did not want to annoy him."

The accusations against Weinstein Argento and other actresses, including Ashley Judd, Gwenith Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Rose McGowan, triggered the global #MeToo movement, with which a massive campaign against harassment began.

Since then in New York, Weinstein has been accused of raping first and third degrees. He faces up to 37 years in prison if he is found guilty.
