What will happen

Trump will perform during a busy week for both the president himself and Congress.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi invited President Trump to deliver the Appeal back in December.

“In the spirit of respect for our Constitution, I invite you to deliver the State of the Union Address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, in the United States House of Representatives,” Pelosi said at the time.

Trump is expected to make an “optimistic” statement before the final impeachment vote, which is expected on Wednesday, February 5.

Meanwhile, Democrats are preparing for a protest, reports The Hill.

"Democratic women will once again wear white outfits in concert to show female solidarity, and as in years past, at least a handful of lawmakers are considering or planning to boycott Trump's entire speech on the House floor," the newspaper said.

An appeal to the nation will take place one day after the Iowa gatherings, which will give voters a chance to weigh democratic elections. The speech will also take place during a busy week, which includes the last day of the Senate impeachment trial and another Democratic debate expected on Friday in New Hampshire.
