Obama danced Lipala with President Kenya
U.S. President Barack Obama during his visit to kenya he danced with the leader of this country, Uhuru Kenyatta and his wife, the dance Lipalu.
During lunch, the popular African band Sauti Sol performed on behalf of the host party. When the song Sura Yako (“Your Face”) began to be performed, Obama unbuttoned his jacket and walked up to the dancers on stage. The presidents were joined by officials and Obama's half-sister Auma.
The musicians from the group Sauti Sol themselves invented the lipalu dance, using Kenyan folk dances as a basis. Lipala is the “African answer” to Gangnam Style by South Korean artist PSY.
During a two-day visit to Kenya, Obama not only participated in official events, but also met with relatives on the paternal side. Among them were his mother Sarah (stepmother of the president’s father), whom he called grandmother.
